This is the first trip to a marine protected area on the Changing Oceans Expedition. It is also one of the most enchanting sites along the Sardinian coastline. The Antinea crew will meet the managers of this marine park and document the management strategies they have put in place there as part of a 'best practice' database. This database will be expanded on throughout the expedition and will be used to help spread proven solutions. Partners : IUCN / UNESCO

Visit of the MPA team

Members of the team from Peninsola del Sinis Marine Protected Area come onboard Fleur de Passion with armloads of delicious sardinian products.

After explaining their work to members of the Antinea Foundation who had arrived a few days earlier by plane, it was our turn to show them around the Fleur de Passion. Matteo, an Italian bird specialist doesn't want to leave the boat and begins imagining what projects he could run on board in order to join the expedition.
