Human Impact on the Baltic Sea - Stralsund - Baltic Sea - July 15 to 30, 2010

mission effectuée

We reach the region of Stralsund in the Baltic Sea for another major project of the year. A team of scientists from the German Oceanographic Museum will join us to visit several sites which have been monitored for the past years. The trophic structure and biodiversity will again be assessed, by SCUBA diving in several areas. By comparing current observations and analyses on the state of the ecosystem with earlier ones, scientists will be able to catch the various signs of degradation or regeneration following pollution control measures taken by the bordering states.
